Multan Sultans owner makes serious allegations against PCB over PSL and Ihsanullah’s injury
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has found itself at the center of a storm, with Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen making explosive claims about the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) lack of commitment to the league. Sending shockwaves through the cricketing world, Ali Tareen claimed that the PCB is not fully supporting the PSL, treating it more as a burden than an asset.
Despite cashing in from the Pakistan Super League, the Pakistan Cricket Board sees its own domestic franchise league as a franchise-controlled entity rather than a joint cricketing venture, according to Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen. Tareen noted that there are snakes all over the PSL.
Multan Sultans owner accuses PCB of treating PSL as a burden
The Multan Sultans owner further claimed that internal politics and ego clashes within PCB are hampering PSL’s growth. He further found that decision-making is influenced by personal agendas rather than merit. He openly claimed that the PCB doesn’t really care about the PSL, leaving everything to the “snakes”.
Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen said on Relukattay’s YouTube channel, “PCB has the least control, although they have complete control, but they have the least control over PSL. This includes franchises and others. They’ve had enough of this. They want us to do what we want. We do what we want. And this whole PCB thing, which focuses on domestic leagues, domestic players and people who are employed by PCB throughout the year.”

Tareen further remarked, “PSL is for one month in a year, so they don’t care about PSL. PCB does not feel that PSL is ours. They feel they are franchises. They get TV time. They get benefits. We get no benefit. So they don’t care. They benefit financially from the PSL, but the snake’s ego is at stake. If you bring people in based on merit, they will reap the benefits. He will think logically. There are snakes all over the PSL. They make decisions.”
But Tareen said: “The PCB doesn’t care about the PSL, they don’t want to feel that this is ours. There are snakes sitting in the entire PSL board making decisions.”

Meanwhile, the Multan Sultans owner also shockingly blamed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for ruining Ihsanullah’s career. But Tareen claimed that Ihsanullah’s surgery was done by a friend of one of the PCB board officials, leaving a lot of scars that can never be removed.
Ihsanullah suffered an elbow injury during the white-ball series against New Zealand in April 2023. The right-arm fast bowler, who is also known as Matta Express, is one of Pakistan’s fastest bowlers but is still recovering from surgery, and there is no update on his fitness and recovery.

But Tareen blames PCB for ruining Ihsanullah’s career
But Tareen revealed heartbreaking news about Ihsanullah, saying the Multan Sultans bowler’s career as a 150km/h bowler is almost over due to complications from a previous surgery. Despite the intervention of experts, the damage is irreparable, so the shot putter cannot fully straighten his arm.
Tareen pointed the finger at PCB, blaming their handling of Ihsanullah’s situation for this tragic outcome. He signed off saying, “I am very sad for Ihsanullah. He recently met with an expert. And he said, ‘I can do the surgery, but no matter what I do, there’s so much from his previous surgery.
“No matter what I do. and he will never be able to bowl the same way because he doesn’t have a straight arm’. Thanks to PCB, Ihsanullah’s arm will never become perfectly straight. So it’s so unfortunate. It’s a very unfortunate story, but that’s what Ihasanullah can never be a 150km/h bowler again.”
