Mohammed Siraj OUT of series against England


Indian national cricket team fast bowler Mohammed Siraj will get a much-needed rest after the grueling Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. According to reports in RevSportz, it is learned that the fast bowler will be rested for the England T20I.

The Indian National Cricket Team is all set to host the England National Cricket Team for the white ball tour. The two teams will take on each other in a five-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series, which will be the only series before the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Mohammed Siraj will play the three-match ODI series against England and the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Mohammed Siraj, who bowled tirelessly in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, will be rested for the T20Is. But reports in RevSportz claimed that the fast bowler will be there for the three-match ODI series against the England national cricket team and then for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Mohammed Siraj went all out with the ball in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and scored more than 157 overs in the series. The fast bowler took 20 wickets in the series and played all 5 matches. He bowled the highest number of overs in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Rest will be much needed for Mohammed Siraj, as the pacer has been bowling continuously for the past few months. The team management would like him to be extremely fit as he will play a key role for the team in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Yashasvi Jaiswal will be selected as the reserve opener for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 squad is set to be announced next week. It has been learned that Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is yet to make his ODI debut, will be part of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as a back-up to Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.

Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer will be there in the middle and reports add that there is a battle for the spot between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are expected to form the spin trio while Washington Sundar is also likely to play a role in the team.

Arshdeep Singh in the race to enter the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy

Arshdeep Singh, the left-armer, is also in contention to make the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The fast bowler, who was India’s leading wicket-taker in the 2024 T20 World Cup, was in scintillating form in the 2024 Vijay Hazare Trophy. -25. and leads the rankings there as well.
