Kris Boyd said Judge Nick Walsh, who is on his decision to send midfielder Rangers Mohamed Diomanda, despite seeking to spend on the field, was “embarrassing”.
Walsh gave a straight red card late in the Rangers win 3-1 in Dundee United after clashes with Kevin Holt, although it was not clear what exactly Walsh noticed.
The judge advised him to conduct a review in the field, but stuck in his decision, on the confusion of Philippe Clement, who said the Rangers would complain.
“It’s shameful,” said the former Rangers striker Boyd. “I think sometimes, when you go to the monitor, you can be too stubborn. Sometimes you have to admit that you misunderstood and Nick Walsh should have.
“No excessive force, no brutality, and if I’m a retainors, I would currently have my appeal.”
Players showed that Daomande’s right hand may have made contact with Holt’s face as they challenged the ball possession, but Boyd added: “It is a little unconvincing, even if it hits it.
