Man Utd have received an improved offer for Antony from Real Betis

Real Betis raised the offer to sign Manchester United winger Antony has been revealed to be on loan.

The £82m winger has fallen short this season under former boss Erik ten Hag and has remained on the sidelines since Ruben Amorim took over, with the Portugueserewarded for putting his faith in young Amad Diallo instead.

Antony is available for transfer this month and Betis emerged as the first significant suitors at the beginning of the month, but a significant cost of credit – even with United subsidizing part of his salary – makes the job complicated.

Local Spanish publication ABC de Sevillawho first reported Betis’ interest earlier this month, note that a second bid has now been submitted which is closer to meeting United’s demands.

United accept they will have to contribute to Antony’s wages but are seeking guarantees for the 24-year-old’s playing time, wanting to give him a fair chance to increase his value ahead of a possible permanent departure.

Antony is rumored to be keen on a move to Spain and his current priority is Betis, who offer the added appeal of Conference League football.

Meanwhile, United are also handling approaches for another winger, Alejandro Garnacha. Napoli has already seen the offer rejectedwhile Chelsea have also shown interest in the Argentine national team.
