Luton have appointed Wycombe boss Bloomfield as their new manager
Luton Town have appointed Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield as their new boss to replace Rob Edwards.
Edwards was leading the Hatters to the Premier League in 2023 but left his post last week after a poor season in the Championship.
Bloomfield, 40, guided the Wanderers to second place in League One, losing just four league games all season.
It’s time for a new era.

Luton are in 20th place in the Championship, just two points above the relegation zone. Bloomfield’s first game in charge will be at home to Preston on Saturday and he has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Kenilworth Road.
“It is a real honor and privilege to be here, to be appointed manager of this amazing club. I’m really, really proud,” Bloomfield said.
“The feeling they gave me that I was wanted, the amount of research they did on me and the football team we created in Colchester and Wycombe, and the knowledge base of what I stand for, who I am and what I have tried to show in our football team that this was the right move at the right time.”
Wycombe said they were disappointed by Bloomfield’s decision, but added that “the club is fully committed to building on the foundations of this season’s success and delivering on our long-term vision for Wycombe Wanderers.”
The League One side face Mansfield on Saturday.
