Look for survivors after colliding passenger jet and helicopter in DC
Currently, an extensive search and rescue operation is underway after the American Airlines flight collided in the middle air with a helicopter in Washington DC, and both collapsed into the Potomac River.
Emergency Care Head of John Donnelly said the conditions were “extremely rough” in the darkness of icy temperatures.
Jet, who came from Wichita in Kansas, carried 60 passengers and four crew members. On board a military helicopter were three US army soldiers.
