Lizzo celebrates reaching weight loss goal: ‘I haven’t seen this figure since 2014!’
Lizzo marked a milestone in her body transformation journey by revealing she had achieved her weight loss goal.
It’s on Saturday 36-year-old singer she shared a health update on Instagram while showing off her slimmer figure.
“I made it,” Lizzo, born Melissa Viviane Jefferson, wrote in the caption of her post. “Today when I stepped on my scale, I achieved my weight loss goal.”
She continued: “I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder that you can do anything you put your mind to.”

“It’s time for new goals!”
Lizzo’s post included a mirror selfie of the four-time Grammy winner posing in a matching maroon sports bra and a set of leggings.
The “Good As Hell” hit performer. added a graphic to the image that reads, “Congratulations! You’ve met your weight goals,” along with an illustration of the goal.
Lizzo also showed off her arms and midsection in a close-up photo with a graphic detailing her weight loss stats. As of January 23, 2024, Lizzo has reduced her body max index by 10.5 and her body fat has decreased by 16 percent.

The image also noted that Lizzo had reached her goal weight, but did not share her current weight.

Lizzo also shared the news on her TikTok page as she posted a video in which she spoke candidly about her personal goals.
“I’m actually on an intentional weight loss journey right now,” she said in the first part of the clip. “Even at the end of my weight loss journey, I will not be considered skinny in any way. I will still be considered morbidly obese based on my BMI and my little brothers on the internet will still call me ‘big back.’ ‘
“But I will be happy,” she emphasized.
The video then cuts to a clip of a beaming Lizzo exclaiming, “I’m happy too!”
“I stepped on the scale and met my weight loss goal,” she continued. Lizzo, who was wearing a black bodysuit for the workout, then started dancing and singing the lyrics to Kelly Rowland’s hit song “Like This.”
“Let this be a reminder that you can do anything – whatever you set your mind to,” Lizzo added. “I guess now is the time to set new goals.”
Lizzo has been documenting her weight loss journey on Instagram, and her latest update comes months after she dismissed rumors that Ozempic was behind her dramatic results.

In a September Instagram post, the rapper dismissed speculation that she had been taking prescription weight-loss drugs for type 2 diabetes, attributing her body transformation to diet and fitness.
“When you finally get Ozempic charges after 5 months of weight training and a caloric deficit,” Lizzo captioned the video post.
In October, Lizzo got dressed Ozempic themed Halloween costume as she was mocked in an episode of “South Park” that parodied her in May 2023.
At the time, she shared several posts on Instagram with photos and videos of herself wearing a red and white package of a fictitious weight loss drug called Lizzo with a yellow measuring tape cinched around her waist.
“LizzOzempic dump,” the singer captioned one post.

In an April 2023 interview with The New York Times, Lizzo spoke openly about her body image.
“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” she told the newspaper. “The bottom line is that the way you feel about your body changes every day.”

Lizzo went on to explain that she is on a diet and said that her approach was to lose weight gradually.
“I was methodical, losing weight very slowly,” she said.
