Lee Zeldin faces a vote to run a key environmental protection agency in Trump’s administration
Senate will vote on Wednesday about whether to confirm Former Ambassador Lee Zeldin run a leading government agency on the rules and regulations of the environment.

The Senate held a vote for Zeldin’s Cloture on Wednesday afternoon, which ended the debate on his nomination. The Chamber will now continue to vote on the final floor.

If it is confirmed on Wednesday, Zeldin will guide the agency that inspects environmental issues, provides assistance to wide environmental projects and establishes rules that are aligned with environmental administration attitudes and climate change.
During the certificate hearing, Zeldin promised that if confirmed, “to encourage the culture of cooperation within the agency, supporting career staff who had dedicated themselves to this mission.

The last round of voting comes because the leader of the Senate majority John Thune, Rs.d., continues to progress the certificate procedure to break through Trump’s nominated cabinet.
