One big, beautiful bill and that’s the theme of the riff. Today is a big moment in history, and maybe two big moments. First of all, certified by Congress President-elect Donald Trump a decisive victory in the elections, carrying the votes of citizens and all swing states. Mr. Trump has created a coalition of the working class: Hispanic Americans, black Americans, Asian Americans, Muslim Americans, young people, union members, women.
It’s a coalition that could change the face of American politics for at least a generation—since Mr. Trump has turned the GOP into the party of working people, and he will promote “America First” policies, whether it’s lower taxes, reciprocal fairness in trade tariffs, closing borders, freeing up energy, reducing the red tape of business regulations, and bringing in the DOGE brothers, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy who will be weakened by the excessive power of the unelected federal bureaucracy, as well as by hacking federal budget.
“America First” is spreading across the seas to restore American authority, respect with “peace through strength” and a clear focus on direct American interests. All this to help the middle class, reignite the blue-collar boom, restore our historic Judeo-Christian culture, traditional values, and, of course, restore public safety for families, children, schools, businesses, and cities.

Worth noting – in the modern era, only four vice presidents presiding over election certification have had the great pleasure of announcing their own defeat: Nixon, Gore, Pence, and now Harris, but there’s a big second thought this day.
President Trump has announced his support for one big, powerful piece of legislation to get his election mandate up and running. Here’s what he said in his post on Truth Social: “Members of Congress are starting work on a powerful bill that will take our country back and make it greater than ever before. We must secure our border, free up America’s energy, and restore Trump’s tax cuts, which were the biggest in history, but we’re going to make it even better.”

As you know, I have been unstinting in my advocacy of a budget reconciliation bill that would include tax cuts, border security, energy deregulation, and a defense boost. Night after dinner, guest after guest, senators, members of the House of Representatives and other worldly people heard me relentlessly promote a great, wonderful piece of legislation.
Let’s take the middle class blue-collar boom works immediately. Put it all together in one big, beautiful package. Breathe in the confidence that the promises made will be fulfilled. Of course, awareness of the slim Republican majority in the House of Representatives, which in recent weeks has shown with near certainty that one bite of the fiscal apple will be all the new administration can expect. Things are looking bigger, better and brighter for a new golden age that will make America great again. It’s a riff.
