Kroger is buying land in a fast-growing suburb for a new Investing.com store
LITTLE ELM, Texas–( BUSINESS WIRE )–Davidson Bogel (DB2RE) is proud to announce its successful representation of Kroger (NYSE:NYSE: ) in the acquisition of a 14-acre property in Little Elm, Texas from local investment firm Dollar-Flowers Realty partners.
The 14-acre location, located at US 380 and FM 2931 in one of the fastest growing communities in North Texas, allows Kroger to enhance its retail presence and serve the growing population of Little Elmo and the surrounding area with a quality grocery offering.
Edward Bogel, Ryan Turner and David Davidson Jr. from Davidson Bogel represented Kroger in the transaction. Dollar-Flowers was represented internally by Stewart Flowers.
Kroger’s acquisition follows the recent announcement last year that Weber & Co. purchased 22 acres of land at the same intersection for 225,000 square feet, Goal (NYSE: NYSE: )-anchored retail center, called Bates Towne Crossing (LINK).
Earlier this year, GBT announced its plans to develop a shopping center at Sprouts on the northeast corner of the intersection.
HEB owns the land immediately west of the future target, but has not announced the timing of the land’s construction.
Retail growth in Little Elm is the result of several years of strong population growth in the region. DR Horton’s (NYSE: NYSE: ) Silverado was the top selling community in Texas in 2022 and the 6th fastest in the nation ( LINK ). In addition, the public builder Lennar (NYSE: NYSE: ) announced their new project, Foree Ranch, last August that will offer 1,450 homes under construction (LINK).
