Jabrill Peppers of the Patriots pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine as part of a domestic incident case
New England Patriots veteran safety Jabrill Peppers pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine in court Thursday in connection with an Oct. 5, 2024, domestic violence incident.
Peppers, who faces multiple charges, should be acquitted as long as he completes four months of probation without reoffending, according to New York Post.
However, the 29-year-old, who captained the Patriots last season, was also charged with strangulation, assault and battery after a woman told authorities he pushed her head against a wall, choked her and took her clothes off before forcing her to do so. out.

Peppers has pleaded not guilty to the charges, saying his reported girlfriend at the time was acting “erratic” while also intoxicated. She states that she became angry after he refused to have unprotected sex with her.
Marc Brofsky, Peppers’ attorney, said in October that there was “video evidence” that “casts real doubt on the allegations.”

Patriots owner Robert Kraft noted the team was investigating the incident after Peppers was placed on the commissioner’s exception list at the time. He later returned to the Patriots in December, where he remained captain under the now-ex head coach Jerod Mayo.
Peppers, who hails from East Orange, New Jersey, saw jury selection begin Thursday for his trial.
