Former India coward Wriddhiman Saha recently revealed that he rejected a lucrative coaching offer for the Indian Premier League 2025 from the champion defenders Kolkat Knight Riders (KKR).
Wriddhiman Saha opens by rejection of KKR -OD coaching opportunities
In an interview with Sportstar, Saha emphasized that she wanted to take the time before committing himself to such liability. The 40-year-old explained that, although he enjoys the mentoring of young crickets, he believes that anyone who has taken the coaching role should be mentally and technically prepared.
“Through my career, I believed that if one wanted to take over the task, he must be absolutely ready – and in the sense of preparation and mentality – only then can I succeed in this role.” Said Saha.
Although Saha expressed interest in coaching after retirement, he currently gives priority to spending time with his family. He admitted that he had received an offer from KKR as an auxiliary coach, but he refused because he thought time was wrong.
“I’m not yet ready for this type of coaching position, which is why I refused to offer Kolkat Knight Riders. I am sure it would be a fantastic opportunity, but it took me more time before I committed myself to a whole coaching role,” Saha added.
