‘Inner Excellence’ tops Amazon after Eagles star caught reading during game
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown was caught reading “Inner Excellence” on the sidelines of the team’s playoff victory against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
On Monday, the book jumped to #1 on Amazon.

Jim Murphy’s book on sharpening mental skills topped Amazon’s bestseller list as of Monday morning. Entering the game, it was at 523,497. place. Eagles fans also helped by leaving positive reviews on the book’s Amazon page.
“AJ Brown recommended this book so I’m looking forward to reading this. Fly Eagles Fly,” wrote one Eagles fan.
“After seeing AJ Brown reading this book on the sidelines during a playoff game against the Packers, my wife and I did some research and both bought a copy. I can’t wait to start reading it,” read another review, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia.
Brown explained the decision read a book on the side after the game.
“I always go back to the beginning of the book,” he said. “The head if you can just have a clear mind and remember that nothing else matters, a clear conscience, nothing matters negative or positive. You are willing to take risks. He also says that if you are humble, you cannot be ashamed.”
The full title of Murphy’s book is “Inner Excellence: Train Your Mind for Outstanding Performance and the Best Life Possible.”
The author was briefly a minor leaguer for the Chicago Cubs. Then he was intrigued by the idea of training baseball players to have confidence under pressure, writes The Associated Press.

Brown added that he usually has a book with him during games. He said Sunday night was the first time he was caught.

He had one catch for 10 yards in the Eagles’ win.
