HYB leads $12.5 billion surge in ETF buying

Bitcoin ETF jumps 109% as bullish themes dominate 2024

ETF investors poured more than $12.5 billion into the funds as key stock indexes hit new highs.

U.S. stock ETFs saw more than $7.9 billion in inflows on Friday, leading across asset classes as investors showed a strong appetite for exposure to domestic stocks.

The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) topped the list of daily flows with nearly $2 billion in new assets, followed by Invesco QQQ Trust Series I (QQQ) with $1.4 billion inflows.

Fixed income ETFs also saw strong demand, with a US bond fund attracting more than $2.9 billion in new money. The iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) led the fixed income category with $728 million in inflows.

International stock funds added $590 million, while commodity ETFs saw $378 million in outflows.

Total ETF assets under management were $10.46 trillion, with daily flows representing an increase of 0.12%.
