Second bottom Leicester they had lost their previous five league games but defeated second-tier QPR 6-2 at home in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, while 15th-placed Palace started seven points above The Foxes.

Newcastle vs Wolves: Isak scores again
Alexander Isak he made sure he scored in eight consecutive Premier League games with a deflected shot in the 34th minute from the edge of the box to send Newcastle to fourth place.

Wolves, who are below fourth-placed Ipswich Town on goal difference with a game in hand after this 3-0 defeat, went close when Jorgen Strand Larsen’s first-time strike hit the post shortly after Isakov’s first, but the Swedish striker added his second after pass by Bruno Guimaraes after 57 minutes.
Isak then turned provider, setting up Anthony Gordon to put the contest almost beyond doubt with a third goal for the hosts 16 minutes from time, although Wolves were then disallowed for handball after Santiago Bueno struck from close range from a corner.

Leicester vs Palace: Eagles easy to win
Leicester have lost six straight league games and are two points from safety, although they could have gone ahead but for Jamie Vardy’s uncharacteristic lack of ruthlessness during the first half.
Jean-Philippe Mateta provided his latest clean sheet to score with Palace’s first attempt on goal in the 52nd minute courtesy of Jakub Stolarczyk’s pass.

Palace rose above Manchester United to 14th place and are on a five game unbeaten run in all competitions, with their only defeat in their last 10 league games coming against Arsenal.
