German stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX rose by 0.77% Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher, while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, it added 0.77% to hit a new all-time high, while the index lost 0.32% and the index fell 0.17%.

The best performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR: ), which was up 6.64% or 3.66 points to trade at 58.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR: ) added 5.24% or 1.62 points to end at 32.55 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR: ) was up 4.84% or 2.15 points to 46.61 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Qiagen NV (ETR: ), which fell 3.20% or 1.48 points to 44.56 at the close. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR: ) declined 1.07% or 0.84 points to end at 77.38 and Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR: ) declined 0.76% or 0.43 points to 55.82 .

Top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR: ) which rose 7.27% to 53.10, Thyssenkrupp AG ON (ETR: ) which rose 6.64% to 4.36 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR: ) which gained 5.15% to close at 122.40.

The worst performers were Puma SE (ETR: ), which fell 22.81% to 32.31 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR: ) which lost 3.17% to settle at 13.75 and Siltronic AG (ETR: ) which fell 3.12% to 42.84 at the close.

The best performers on the TecDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR: ), which rose 7.27% to 53.10, Eckert & Ziegler AG ON (ETR: ) which rose 3.67% to 50.30 and IONOS Group SE (ETR: ) which gained 3.58% to close at 24.60.

The worst performers were Qiagen NV (ETR: ), which fell 3.20% to 44.56 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR: ), which lost 3.17% to 13.75, and Siltronic AG (ETR: ), which down 3.12% to 42.84 in the close.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 327 to 286, with 39 ending unchanged.

Shares in Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) rose to all-time highs; rose 6.64% or 3.66 to 58.80. Shares of Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.84% or 2.15 to 46.61. Shares of Puma SE (ETR: ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 22.81% or 9.55 to 32.31. Shares of Eckert & Ziegler AG ON (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.67% or 1.78 to 50.30.

which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, fell 0.56% to 14.52.

Gold futures for February delivery fell 0.35%, or 9.79, to $2,761.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude for March delivery fell 0.99% or 0.75 to $74.69 a barrel, while the March Brent crude contract fell 0.89% or 0.70 to $78. 30 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% at 1.04, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.17% at 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.05% to 107.90.
