Fox must face $2.7 billion Smartmatic defamation suit, New York appeals court rules Reuters

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A New York state appeals court on Thursday denied Fox’s request to dismiss a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit brought by voting machine company Smartmatic over statements made on air after the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

The decision was made by a five-judge panel of the Appellate Division in Manhattan.
