WBC Champion in the Perija category Brandon Figueroa (25-1-1, 19 Kos) defends himself from the former United Champion in the two-belt category Stephen Fulton (22-1, 18 KO) in their removal of 12 rounds of this Saturday, February 1 , on t -Mobile arena in Las Vegas.
Figueroa Vs. Fulton 2 is on David Benavidez’s base against David Morrela and will be shown live on PBC Main video PPV. The event is for sale for 79.95 USD.
A change in severe class
The rematch will be four pounds heavier than the first fight in 122, and Figueroa looks stronger since moving until 126 2022 after his narrow loss to Fulton. In three fights, Figueroa had Pero, dominated these fighters:
– Jessie Magdaleno – Who 9
-Mark Magsayo-Ud 12: ratings 117-109, 117-109 and 118-108
– Carlos Castro: Who 6
Fulton is a pure boxer and will try every trick in the book to beat Figuero. We will probably see a lot of skating, movement and sting. There are a Mayweather-esque The style of him and uses a lot of technical things to make up for his lack of piercing power.
Stephen has zero power, and his only way to defeat Figuero is by a decision. Considering how much Brandon looked like from his move to Pero, it is hard to ask for Fulton to win Saturday, except that he was lucky with scoring again.
Four years ago, on November 27, 2021, Fulton, 30 years, struck Figuero, beating him by a majority decision in Las Vegas in Las Vegas in Super Bantamweight. The fight could go in any case, but the judges liked Fulton’s boxing skills better than figuerine more aggressive, stronger blows.
Changed Fulton?
Much has changed since then. Fulton visibly old Naoya Inoue, in eight one -sided rounds on July 25, 2023, and barely scored with a separate decision of 10 rounds over Carlos Castrol in the last fight on September 14, 2024.
Castro dropped Fulton in the fifth round and injured him repeatedly. He used posture and movement to escape from ejection. The referees were generous to Fulton to bring him a victory, because Castro looked like he deserved a victory.
Two years earlier, Castro threw his style on July 9, 2022 in the sixth round, Brandon Figuero. Brutally by Inoue a year earlier.
Fulton’s nail loss of stainless steel may have permanently diminished his stroke resistance, leaving him vulnerable to injure himself. It is a terrible news for him as opposed to a powerful guy like Figuero, who hits more than Castro and will not get tired like in the second half of the fight on Saturday.
This means that Fulton must stay on his bike all night, holding himself as often as possible to try to neutralize Figuero’s insults. This could be an ugly struggle because Fulton lacks offensive skills to stay in the pocket against the figiero without being thrown out.
I see Figuero as too strong, young and aggressive for what is left of Fulton in his career. I don’t see the knockout because Fulton will use your Mayweather-Equue tricks to survive, but they won’t win with that negative, security style. This fight could sleep fans as Fulton will run from the opening of the bell, trying not to be thrown out.
