Fed chiefs say interest rates will go above 5%—but when and by how much remains a mystery


Raphael Bostic, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, said the Fed is committed to fighting high inflation and that it justifies raising interest rates to a range of 5% to 5.25% to squeeze excess demand out of the economy.
