Edison utility company sued over equipment’s role in wildfires in Los Angeles, writes Bloomberg News Reuters

(Reuters) – Southern California utility Edison International has been hit with a lawsuit blaming the power supplier’s equipment for starting one of California’s wildfires, Bloomberg News reported on Monday.

The lawsuit is on behalf of a group of homeowners, renters, business owners and others whose property was destroyed by the Eaton (NYSE: ) fire in the Pasadena area, according to a report.

Shares of Edison International (NYSE: ) fell nearly 13%.
