Christina Hall Says Ex ‘Made Life Difficult With Insecurities’; she got the silent treatment because of Tarek El Moussa
Christina Hall sheds more light on her relationship with ex-husband Josh Hall.
During an interview with Us Magazine, Christina explained that her ex-husband’s “insecurities” have made life difficult for her, including worries about working with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, on the new show “The Flip Off.”
“I’d laugh at Tarek. I’d get the silent treatment for a week,” Christina told the outlet. She explained that filming the HGTV show with Josh “probably just rushed it [their split] up.”
“Someone with more confidence might say, ‘This is my wife, but yes, she’s doing this for TV. She was filming with Tarek when I met her,'” she said. “There was an explanation there that made no sense. You know what you signed up for. I’m your wife and I choose you, but you choose to make my life miserable instead of insecure.”

Christina was referring to filming “Flip Or Flop” with El Moussa, years after the couple split. The series debuted in 2013 and ended in 2022, four years after their 2018 divorce.
“I’d laugh at Tarek. I’d get the silent treatment for a week.”
Josh and Christina only did one episode together on “The Flip Off,” and she’s happy she decided to move on without him.
“This is not Josh’s show,” she told the outlet. “No one will miss him not being in it. Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house dad, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. Tarek and I built everything together, and I still have no respect for Josh.”
Josh and Christina’s breakup will play out on the small screen when “The Flip Off” premieres on January 29. The HGTV star is “not nervous” about watching her marriage fall apart.
“There are definitely some very emotional scenes. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done for television, it’s very real and raw,” she said.
“The Flip Off” also stars Tarek’s wife, Heather El Moussa. The former “Selling Sunset” star told Us Magazine that filming was “better” after Josh left.

“Not to be mean, but he definitely didn’t have the best personality. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And [Christina is] in a really good place,” Heather said.
Christina appeared on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” on Friday and discussed her relationship with Josh and how the two are doing seven months after filing for divorce.
“We don’t agree. There is no agreement. Have you ever seen me go after him on social media?” Christina said.
She noted that her marriage to Josh lasted three years, which was “much longer” than she wanted it to last. Christina explained that she only dated Josh for eight months before they decided to tie the knot, which she “will never do again.”
Christina dissolved her second marriage with Ant Anstead, which lasted only two years. The couple shares son Hudson, 5. Ant will appear on “The Flip Off” alongside Christina, Tarek and Heather El Moussa.
She explained that the “blessing” of her marriage to Josh was that they did not have a child even though they were going to “trial” to dissolve their marriage.
“He doesn’t want to mediate,” Christina said. “It’s going to be fun. I can’t wait.”
Christina touched on her relationship with Heather and explained that they’ve “come a long way.”

“Yes,” Christina replied. “But they have to stay together. They’re a great couple.”
