Chinese vice president meets Elon Musk ahead of Trump’s inauguration Reuters
BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Tesla (NASDAQ: ) CEO Elon Musk and other members of the U.S. business community in Washington on Sunday, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.
Han told Musk to “welcome Tesla and other US companies to seize the opportunities and share in the benefits of China’s development, and contribute to the growth of China-US economic and trade relations,” the report said.
US President-elect Donald Trump invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to his inauguration after winning last year’s presidential election. Xi sent Han instead.
