Celtic transfer news
Amid numerous transfer rumors surrounding the Hoops, a return to the club for Kieran Tierney it’s undoubtedly making the most headlines right now. The 27-year-old appears to be surplus to requirements at Arsenal, having already been loaned out to Real Sociedad last season, and a loan return to Parkhead seems likely ahead of a permanent deal in the summer.
Another reported target for Celtic is the Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhilland the Englishman is wanted by a host of clubs in 2025. He is out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of this season, at which point he will be able to join on a free transfer.
Manchester City offensive midfielder James McAtee is an exciting young player with a bright future in the game and has also been linked with a move to Celtic. It was difficult for the 22-year-old to get regular football under the leadership of Pep Guardiola, and Scottish Premiership giants are believed to be looking at him.
Similarly, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to make any kind of impact at Chelsea this season, with the Hoops backing to grab him and make him a key man, ending his Stamford Bridge nightmare.
Celtic accept offer for “top” Hoops player
According to Josip on X, Celtic have accepted an offer from KV Mechelen for the loan of defender Stephen Welshwith the move happening this month:
Letting Welsh move on makes perfect sense, considering he’s mostly been a spectator during games this season, only one phenomenon in the league.
At 24, he needs to be a key man somewhere instead of warming the substitutes’ bench, and he could be an excellent addition to someone, with Greg Taylor praising him in the past, saying:
“His all-round performance was superb, just like last Wednesday at Kilmarnock. He was excellent, really good. It was a great goal he scored off a great delivery from David Turnbull and Welshi was very good. Welshi is not a quiet guy. He lead and speak. That’s why he’s doing so well at the moment.”
