Celebrities lament the start of Trump’s second term: ‘Elect a criminal, expect crimes’
Anti-Trump celebrities are rolling into President Donald Trump’s second term kicking and screaming.
Of Trump took the oath on Monday, outspoken Hollywood celebrities took to social media to express their displeasure. Trump’s longtime critics in the industry — Barbra Streisand, Stephen King, John Cusack and others — condemned his return as well as his first actions in the Oval Office.
“His last presidency was like a bad reality show, and this one is starting to get even worse,” wrote Streisand, the legendary singer and actress. social media platform Bluesky Social on Tuesday.

Trump took office and went to work, signing many executive orders as well as making multiple public appearances and speeches alongside key members of his administration.
In a series of posts on Bluesky, Streisand condemned Trump’s inaugurationhis executive orders and his cabinet.
On Monday, she wrote: “Donald Trump is taking over as president today. Maybe he could show some class and stop selling a brand instead of cashing in on the office.”
The next day, Streisand added, “Trump makes his choices Cabinet members less on their competence and experience than on their loyalty or perceived appearance on television.”
The actress said a few hours later: “Trump signs an order that overturns the 14th Amendment’s clear language on citizenship for all people born here. If the GOP Supreme Court has any shred of credibility about the Constitution, it will be overturned immediately below.”
TV sitcom actor Jon Cryer they stated on Bluesky on Monday that “the criminal presidency of America has begun.”
Trusted against Trump, “Star Trek” actor George Takei he told his Bluesky followers “Welcome to the plutokleptokacokistocracy! Where the ultra-rich steal from you and run the country in the most insanely incompetent way imaginable.”

In the following post, he said: “Elect a clown, expect a circus. Elect a criminal, expect crimes.”
Author of horror novels and longtime anti-Trumper Stephen King lashed out at the president’s guests who were present in the chapter’s rotunda during his swearing-in.
“Inauguration attendees were mostly (if not all) white, rich, and men in ties. Trump’s core supporters were left out. Think about it,” he wrote on Bluesky.
Actor John Cusack irritated inauguration over at X, stating, “I recommend you don’t watch one second of the inaugural snuff film currently airing. It’s completely pointless.”
