Padilla expressed concern about enthusiastic approval, claiming that the organization had occupied “extreme positions” on weapons.

“Weapons owners in America have taken extreme positions, including the view that all the background checks are unconstitutional and that civilian ownership of the machine guns is protected by another amendment,” Padilla said.
