Fans who saw Mahomes on the sidelines to support her husband showered her with praise for showing up. She and Patrick announced the birth of their child on Monday.
Brittany Mahomes was pregnant for the entire 2024 NFL season and still managed to show up to most of the Chiefs’ home games at Arrowhead Stadium to support the quarterback and the team.
Patrick seemed concerned about the timing of the delivery. She planned to give birth the week the Chiefs could play a playoff game. Patrick might have missed the delivery if Kansas City hadn’t won the games it needed to have home-field advantage and stay in the first round of the postseason.
Fortunately, the Chiefs finished it off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
Patrick was talking about their last child on Wednesday.
“Right now I’m good with three,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “Maybe we’ll see later, but my goal was always three, so we had three, and we’ll hang in there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later.”
The family already has two children – Bronze and Sterling. Mahomes talked about how Brittany is doing after the birth of their newborn and how the other siblings are coping.
“It was great. I mean, I’m just supportive. Brittany crushed it,” he said. “It’s been great to welcome another little girl into our family and see how my other kids react to her and having a little girl and things like that. It’s been a lot of fun, and it’s been great to have football on TV while I was in the hospital myself so I got to watch a bit, Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter.”
