BCCI defies ICC guidelines, delays India squad announcement


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to delay the announcement of the squad for the ODIs in England as well as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. According to reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the squad will not be named on the deadline day which is January 12.

The reports added that the BCCI was ready to ask for an extension, citing a hectic schedule in Australia, where the Indian national cricket team played a five-match Test series over three months. However, the governing body may announce the squad for the T20I series against England in the next few days.
