King bowled a stunning delivery in the first innings which saw her clean sheet with England Danielle Wyatt-Hodge. This wicket marked her 50th in the ODI format, an impressive feat achieved in just 36 matches.

King achieved a remarkable achievement in the 17th over of England’s innings, when Wyatt-Hodge delivered a sensational delivery. With a perfect leg break that hit the leg stump and turned sharply, the ball went around the striker’s defence, clipping the top of the stump. Wyatt-Hodge was left clueless, offering no shot as the ball rattled the stumps. The clean sheet was a testament to King’s skill and precision, and it proved to be a key turning point in the match. Wyatt-Hodge is dismissed for a golden duck (0 off 1 ball) and Australia are back in the game. King’s 50th wicket in the format cemented her reputation as Australia’s key player.

King strikes again: Nat Sciver-Brunt falls to an incredible hold
King wasn’t done with just one wicket. In the 23rd over, she struck again, this time eliminating a well-placed ball Nat Sciver-Brunt. Sciver-Brunt, who anchored England’s innings with a valuable knock of 35 runs (57 balls, including 5 fours), tried to catch a glimpse of King’s fuller leg-stump shot. However, the ball spun sharply, and Sciver-Brunt’s leading edge bounced into the air, where Phoebe Litchfield waited to take the catch in the scabbard. Sciver-Brunt’s departure at that stage was a significant blow to England’s prospects, and King’s second wicket in as many overs brought Australia back into the contest.
Turnover: Two wickets in the over
The 39th over of England’s innings showed King at her deadly best. First, she rejected Charlie Deanwho tried a cheeky shot under pressure from the balls. A poorly timed kick resulted in an easy catch Beth Mooney when skating. On the very next ball King sent Sophie Ecclestone packaging. A sharp outside leg break tempted Ecclestone into a rash cut and keeper Alyssa Healy finished a sharp catch. King ended her 10-over spell with stunning figures of 4/25.
