Aston Villa have already hit on a star worth more than Malen

Unai Emery will pray that his Aston Villa the side can take off Premier League on the scale as January progresses, after the inverted end of 2024.

Indeed, impressive wins over the likes of Manchester City and RB Leipzig last month were arguably overshadowed by poor performances against the likes of Newcastle United, with Emery’s side slumping at St James’ Park in mid-December to lose 3-0.

While there are rumors suggesting the Villans could bring in some new defensive recruits to help improve things at the back, seen in Milan SkriniarWith his name floating around, the Premier League side are also looking for more firepower up top in the form of Donyell Malen.

Aston Villa’s pursuit of Malena

While no club deal has been secured – amid talk of a £25m fee – Villa appear to have snapped up the exciting Dutchman after personal terms were agreed, according to reporter Ben Jacobswith even more goals added to the West Midlands side’s game subsequently if the deal goes ahead.

Both are already boasting Ollie Watkins and John Duran in attack – who has a Premier League goal total of 15 for the season – Malen would only offer Villa another clinical head when at the height of his powers, given that he fired home a ridiculous 55 shots of 116 appearances when on the books of former employers PSV Eindhoven.

At Dortmund, in addition to being mostly a striker extraordinaire in his native country, Malen also excelled as a wing option on either flank, with 11 of his 13 shots last season in the Bundesliga comes from the right channel.

So there is a tantalizing future in sight where Malen can strut his stuff in England alongside Watkins or Duran leading the line, while Emery tries to make his squad even stronger to climb up the league table.

However, even if a move for Malen unexpectedly falls through for whatever reason, Emery would not be too disheartened, knowing that the ace in his ranks is already worth more than the Villa target after becoming a superstar this campaign.

Morgan Rogers market value at Villa

Rogers would cost Villance the starters 8 million pounds brought in last January from Middlesbrough, with the promising attacking midfielder having had to cut his teeth in the EFL before getting a big chance in the top flight.

Once on Manchester City’s roster as a youngster, it is now clear that Rogers was born to be an entertaining talent at the very top of the English game, with stunning displays now becoming a regular occurrence for the 22-year-old.

There have been plenty of sweet strikes fired home from the No.27 villa so far this campaign, with Rogers to six goals now in the leaguehe also collected three assists.

After his outstanding start to the season, it was no surprise that Emery and Co wanted to tie Rogers down to a new contract extension, with a senior England call-up even coming at the end of his “fearless” shows, as football talent hunter Antonio Mango once called it.

As a direct result of all of the above – along with his crucial FA Cup win against West Ham United – the youngster’s price tag has now far exceeded his once modest valuation of £8m.

He is now worth more than Malen’s £25m fee, despite so much talk of the Dutchman as a potential signing for Emery’s players, with Transfermarkt estimating the former Man City player to be worth around £33m.

Looking at the table above, Emery has a whole host of multi-million dollar players away from the rise of Rogers, with Malen possibly bolstering his squad even more as they aim for another top-four finish.

As for Rogers, it’s clear that Emery and co. struck gold with what already looks like a bargain signing.
