Arsenal want to sign an “electric” £60m sensation who could be their very own Isak
This was not the best campaign for Arsenal so far this season.
Despite again the best defense in Premier Leagueare located in third and some ways outside first place, which makes it hard to ignore the fact that they just don’t score enough goals.
So with this in mind, it’s not surprising to see the team linked with a host of incredible strikers over the past few weeks, Br. Dušan Vlahović to Mohammed Kudus.
However, recent reports are now hailing another sensational striker with a move to the Emirates, a striker who may not be as well known in England but has won comparisons with the unreal Alexander Isak.
Arsenal transfer news
According to a recent report from SpainArsenal is one of several clubs interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush.
Apart from the Gunners, the report revealed that second division sides Chelsea and Liverpool are keen to secure the services of the Egyptian.
The story did not mention a potential transfer fee, but reports earlier this month revealed that an an offer in the region of £60m might be enough to induce German clothing to be sold.
Crossing the line might be complicated and expensive, but given Marmoush’s unreal abilities, it’s worth a shot, especially since he’s been compared to the incredible Isak.
Marmoush’s comparisons with Isaac
So before we get into some of the other reasons why Arsenal could sign Marmoush, we need to examine this Isak comparison and where it came from.
It primarily derived from FBrefwhich compares players in similar positions in Europe’s top five leagues, the Champions League and the Europa League, then creates a list of the ten most comparable players for each, and in this case concluded that the Swede is the ninth most similar striker to the Egyptian over the last 365 days.
The best way to see where this comparison came from is to look at the underlying metrics where the trio are close, including but not limited to expected non-penalty goals, progressive passes and passes received, goals per shot and shots on target, key passes and more , all 90.

However, there is another similarity that is probably the most important and the main reason why the Gunners should sign him: his performance.
For example, in 20 appearances this season, the Toon marksman has scored 13 goals and four assistswhich gives an impressive average of 0.85 goals involved per game.
Yet somehow, the “electric” Frankfurt ace, as described by football presenter Dougie Critchleythis season he managed to do better than that.
He scored a goal in his 24 appearances 18 goals and 12 assistswhich amounts to a simply staggering average of 1.25 goals involved per game.
Ultimately, while a player like Isak might be out of reach for Arsenal right now, Marmoush might not be, and based on his form this season, he could be just as game-changing for a title-chasing side.
So although it might be challenging, North Londoners must do everything they can to try and bring the sensational venue to the N5 this month.
