Arsenal and Aston Villa miss out as Bischof joins Bayern Munich
Tom Bischof rejected reported interest from the Premier League and signed a four-year contract with Bayern Munich.
The midfielder will join Bayern in the summer on a free transfer when his contract with Hoffenheim expires.
Bischof, 19, was born in Bavaria but came through the ranks at Hoffenheim before making his debut in 2022, aged just 16.
He made 53 appearances for the first team and was reportedly on the radar of Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund told the club’s official website: “Tom Bischof is one of Germany’s greatest talents, who has also attracted international interest.
“At only 19 years old, he has already gained a lot of experience in professional football, in the Bundesliga, as well as in the DFB-Pokal and the Europa League. Tom fits perfectly into our philosophy as a technically gifted midfielder. We are delighted that he has decided to take the next steps at FC Bayern. Tom has all the attributes to be placed at the highest level.”
