A big blow to a member of the Death Riders; Jon Moxley will not be pleased
A member of Jon Moxley’s Death Rider faction was dealt a major blow at a major event. The reigning AEW World Champion will not be happy with the loss of his stablemate.
A member of the Death Riders is a former WWE star Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro). After failing to advance to the semi-finals of the 2024 Continental Classic, Claudio headed to Japan for the Wrestle Dynasty event. He was scheduled for a singles fight against Shota Umin at the Tokyo Dome.
Umino was also a close friend and partner Jon Moxley in Japan. However, Moxley was one of the reasons for the feud between Shota and Claudio. Speaking of the fight, both Castagnoli and Umino put on a fierce performance in the ring, with the match ending with the latter picking up the win with a Deathrider DDT.
The AEW World Champion will definitely not be happy that Claudio Castagnoli lost to former partner Shota Umin. The match at Wrestle Dynasty probably also planted the seeds for a future match between Moxley and Umin.
Only time will tell when the 27-year-old faces the leader of The Death Riders and the current AEW World Champion for the final match following his victory over Claudio Castagnoli at Wrestle Dynasty.
