A few hours before New Year’s Eve, the company’s director X, formerly Twitterannounced that the platform will launch a payment system, X Money, in 2025.
In an X post On Tuesday afternoon, CEO Linda Yaccarino said users are “the media” and announced “X will connect you in ways you never thought possible.”
She then mentioned X TV, X Money, Grok “and more”.
“Strap in. Happy New Year”, wrote Yaccarino.

An official X account called “Payments”, @XMoney, was created in January.
