The Singapore Post has appointed a new CFO in an executive review following a Reuters whistleblower report

(Reuters) – Singapore Post has appointed Isaac Mah, the current CFO of its Australian business, as group finance chief, the company said on Sunday, a week after it fired three senior executives, including a CFO, over the mishandling of a whistleblower report.

Mah, who joined Singapore Post in 2019, recently oversaw the sale of the Australian business to private equity firm Pacific Equity Partners.

Singapore Post last week sacked group CFO Vincent Yik, along with chief executive Vincent Phang and head of its international business unit (IBU), Li Yu, after they were found to have been “negligent” in their handling of a whistleblower report.

The alleged misconduct reported by the whistleblower involved several employees who worked in the company’s international logistics e-commerce business.

The Singapore Post also said Gan Heng will step up as acting CEO of the international business unit instead of his current role as head of the unit’s southern district.

The Temasek-backed company said it would appoint a new group chief executive “in due course”.
