Netflix sets NFL streaming record with Christmas games By Investing.com

Investing.com — Netflix Inc (NASDAQ: ) drew record audiences for its NFL debut, with more than 24 million U.S. viewers tuning in for each of the two Christmas games, Nielsen data showed.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers drew 24.1 million viewers, while the Baltimore Ravens’ win against the Houston Texans, featuring Beyoncé’s halftime performance, averaged 24.3 million viewers.

Most viewers streamed via Netflix, while a smaller audience watched on local TV stations in the teams’ markets or on the NFL+ service. The previous NFL streaming record was 23 million on the Peacock during a January playoff game between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins.

The Netflix broadcast avoided the technical glitches that marred its recent coverage of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event.
