Manufacturing activity in China rose for the third month in December Reuters

BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s manufacturing activity rose for a third straight month in December, but at a slower pace, an official factory survey showed on Tuesday, suggesting a flash of fresh stimulus is helping to prop up the world’s second-largest economy.

The official purchasing managers’ index (PMI) came in at 50.1 in December versus 50.3 in November, above the 50 mark that separates growth from contraction, but missing the median forecast of 50.3 in a Reuters poll.
