Arsenal are targeting the Premier League star in January as they look to replace Bukaya Saka


Arsenal are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha as part of their pursuit of a replacement injured Bukayo Saka, the report revealed.

Saka went down with a hamstring injury, believed to be a tear, which manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed will sustain him “many weeks“. A formal recovery timetable has not been announced, but there is a fear of Saka could be absent for up to three monthsalthough there were even fears that he might have suffered a season-ending injury.

With Raheem Sterling also injured in training, Arteta recently admitted to Arsenal they may have to look for reinforcements in the transfer market.

According to The Telegraphone such signing could be Cunha, who entered the radars of numerous elite clubs this season.

The 25-year-old, who joined Wolves on a two-year, £44m loan in 2023, has ten goals and four assists in 18 games this season and has even scored directly from a corner A 2-0 win over Manchester United on Thursday.

His shining form is captured Arsenal‘s eye and Wolves are now preparing for bids as they try to convince Cunha to extend his stay at Molineux.
