A new year, a new adventure as travelers can sleep close to wild animals in the safari park
Those with safari dreams can take those dreams to the next level in the new year by sleeping next to lions, tigers, even rhinos in African-style huts.
Guests can take part in a unique accommodation experience at West Midlands Safari Park in the United Kingdom, as reported by SWNS news agency.
A series of 34 luxurious African-style cabins allow guests to get up close and personal with exotic animals.

“Visitors can wake up just steps away from nine different species of animals and feel like they’re in Kenya – despite being just a few miles from the Black Country,” SWNS said, referring to the region in England’s West Midlands.
Safari Lodges first opened to guests in 2021, with only eight bedrooms in the facility; they were originally surrounded elephants and cheetahs.
Since the location opened, the safari park has added guests the opportunity to view giraffes, rhinos, red pandas, tigers and lions from their enclosures.
Another eight cottages were added earlier this year with additional views of kingfishers and wild dogs — making it the first of its kind in Europe, SWNS said.

As a holiday special, this year’s UK venue hosted an annual Santa Safari — with the promise of “[transporting] families to the heart of the North Pole.”

The houses offer a variety of views, depending on where each house is located.
The two-bedroom, first-floor bathroom Rhino lodge, for example, offers guests a secluded “relaxation nest” and a floor plan with panoramic views of the rhino habitat.
The giraffe lodges feature first-floor balconies that give guests the opportunity to “come face-to-face” with eight 19-foot-tall Rothschild giraffes, SWNS noted.

Other accommodation locations overlook elephant and cheetah habitats — while two more lodges are located next to red panda habitats.
