The devils’ Jack Hughes underwent surgery, for the season

New Jersey Devils Jack Hughes striker was switched off until the end of the season after suffered a shoulder injury from his vicious spout with Jack Eichel on Saturday.
The team announced on Wednesday.
In their game in Vegas against Golden Knights, the devils wanted to get at least one goal back in the third period. Nico Hischier shot and Hughes couldn’t bypass the jump. Hughes then collided with Eichel and crashed strongly into the panels.

This is the second season in a row, Hughes will play 62 games, as he also filed injuries last year. He had 27 goals and 40 assists this season. It was the first overall choice in the NHL draft 2019.
