Man Utd have received Marcus Rashford’s first official offer
AC Milan have made a formal bid to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on loan this month, a report claims.
Rashford is available for transfer this month, but given the high costs of ongoing sales, it is attracting higher interest rates on loans from multiple parties across Europe.
The Athletic State Rashford’s agents flew to Milan on Tuesday for talks with the Serie A side, and that soon followed Gianluca Di Marzio‘with claim that Milan made an official offer.
Milan are rumored to have offered Rashford on an initial loan as part of a deal that would give them the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season – a format that could tempt United at the right price.
The main stumbling block in the negotiations is Rashford’s high wages, which are believed to be well in excess of £300,000-a-week. This figure is unattainable for Milan, which should United agree to cover a significant proportion as part of any contract.
That is likely to be the case with other suitors, including Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, who are understood to be looking at a loan move for Rashford without a permanent transfer clause.
Rashford may not be the only striker to leave United as a winger this month Antony attracts his own interest on the loan. Greece’s Olympiacos are reportedly willing to offer him a platform to restart his faltering career, while Real Betis have been tipped to try to sign the Brazilian after selling Assane Diao to Coma.
