Senate minority leader Chuck SchumerDn.y., and the leader of the minority of Hakeem Jeffies, Dn.y., stay only a few blocks from each other as you move from the Prospect Heights to the parking of the slope in Brooklyn.
But political observers suspect that a practical bridge is a political distance that now extends between two Democrats in Brooklyn. Schumer decided to help the Republicans break the Filibuster and was prevented by the exclusion of the Government last week. Schumer’s decision launched the howling of dummy dumocrats that were practically united in opposition to the GOP consumption package. Schumer and nine other democrats voted to break the Philibuster. This has sent many democrats in apoplexy.
Distance and geography help us to understand this perceived stimulus between Schumer and Jeffies.
Is 40 miles firmly from Lansdowne’s resort in Leesburg, va, to the US capitol in Washington, DC. After the house had voted the approval of the Emergency Consumption Act last Tuesday, Democrats ran highly in Leesburg for their annual editions. Jeffries and other democratic leaders held a press conference on the first day. Other Democrats spoke at nine press conferences about the next days.
But at Capitol Hill last Friday, Jeffies and other Democratic leaders would accelerate from Leesburg to a press conference just before voting to break the Filibuster O measuring consumption.
Schumer claimed that the lagging of the Government was less than two evils. He argued that the exclusion would further strengthen President Trump and Elona Musk to reduce the federal manufacturing for labor and closure.
Jeffrs didn’t buy it. And he had to signal that the Democrats were on on which side.

“Democrats remain strongly opposed to the Law on Partisan Republican Save that will harm families, hurt veterans, hurt the elderly and harm the American people,” Jeffies said. “It’s a false choice that Donald TrumpElon Musk and House Republicans represented. “
Schumer and Jeffries talked after the top Democrat in Senate announced that he would reluctantly vote to break the Filibuster – and bring several democratic colleagues together with themselves. Republicans control the Senate. But they only have 53 votes. Sixty votes are needed to demolish the filibuster. This is where Democrats come.
And Schumer relented.
“Is it time for a new leadership in Senate,” asked Chase Williams of Fox Business, Jeffies at a hectic press conference for Democratic leadership at Capitol Hill.
“Next question,” Jeffries replied.
Another journalist tried a different approach.

“Did you lose confidence in him, the fact that you see it so differently,” the journalist asked.
“Next question,” Jeffries repeated.
What is unsaid often is what speaks loudly in politics. This is what was so striking about Jeffies’s identical answers to the question of his colleague Brooklyite. Again, Jeffries watched the account and how Schumer rushed to the Republicans. Otherwise, he and other democratic leaders would not rush back to the Capitol hill from the suburban Virginia to explode legislation.

Yours really wanted to follow after a press conference, given Jeffies’s direct restraint about Schumer.
“Why were you afraid to say anything about Schumer when they asked you?” I questioned Jeffrsa as he left the Radio/TV Gallery Studio.
Jeffies Demoanor is usually cooler than a swirling cone than a master under the shadow of a tree in a prospectus in August. But after my question, Jeffrs stopped in his marks and flashed a hint of anger.

“Do not characterize! No. no. No. no. No. No. No. No. No
“But my question was: Why are you afraid of saying anything?” I mixed.
“Don’t characterize my remarks. I’m not afraid of anything. All!” said Jeffers.
“You went to another question,” I noticed.
“I said it is very clear to me that we look forward to working with each of our democratic colleagues from the Senate. Each of them who pushed himself against Trump administration. Each of them. It’s very clear, “Jeffries said.

So Jeffrs had a fine walking line. Burn a temporary consumption account. Show democrats who were dissatisfied with how dissatisfied he was what the Senate was doing. Still, be careful what he says about Schumer.
But as we said, what is unspoken often speaks the loudest. Jeffrs showed his dissatisfaction. But honestly, Jeffries didn’t have to say much. Just returned to the capitol all. And doing this immediately after they received a break on Schumer’s maneuver from home democrats, he may have scored some points.
So, return to questions at a press conference of democratic leadership …

“Is it time for a new leadership in Senate?” And, did Jeffries “lose confidence” in Schumer?
Another inquiry is not so important. Democrats at the national level – if not the Senatic Democrats – they will determine what they want to do with Schumer. If nothing else.
Senator Mark Warner, D-Va., He opposed the temporary consumption law. Warner was torn because it represents so many federal workers in Northern Virginia.

“Will you issue a statement about Schumer’s leadership?” Asked one journalist Warner after voting for the financing of the Government.
“Is Schumer leader at the moment a real leader,” another asked.
“I believe in Chuck Schumer,” Warner replied.
After voting, the scribes asked similar questions of senator Martin Heinrich, dn.m.
“We also need to understand how to use our influence,” Heinrich said.

In other words, some Democrats believed that the temporary proposal was the Act on the fold. He may not be able to prevent the President of Trump and the Republicans of Congress to approve the “big, wonderful account” to reduce consumption and reduction of taxes. Should Senate Democrats try to throw out Schumer? Good luck with that. In the House of Representatives, a lot of membership chooses speakers. He or she is a constitutional clerk of the legislative branch of power. In the Senate, the positions of the majority and the leaders of the minority determine their parties of prohibition or conference – behind closed doors. Therefore, there is no “proposal to leave the chair” as in the house. The actual power of the majority leader stems from the custom of Senate, which first acknowledged the leader of the majority – in front of 99 others.

It is true that some Republicans just asked for a reason to reject Lott. And so Lott went in favor of the former leader of the Senate majority of Bill Frista, R-tenn.
It is possible that the voting on the spending of the Philibuster may be democracy now wanting to discard Schumer. Between Schumer and liberal Democrats is now a growing gap.
Democrats pay for internal warfare – while Republicans appear united behind President Trump. And the distance between some democrats is now much wider than a few blocks in Brooklyn.
