Long before I was the governor of the print secretary of Arkansas or the White House, I came to Washington as a Bachelor of Faculty for my first real job on Department of Education. I thought I was there to change the world and I found that I was spending more time by changing coffee filters.

But I went with one, crystal pure lesson: it’s time to abolish the Federal Department of Education.

I am a mom of three years, so I know that no child – even in the same family – is not learning the same way. It is then ridiculous to assume that every child in every community in America would have the same need for education or goals. But this is exactly how the Department of Education works.

Education Secretary says the department has taken the first steps to remove “bureaucratic blowing”

Trillion trillion agency Mostly just a passage, handling money on the way from Congress to Schools. The problem is that the department cannot help but create thousands of difficult regulations around all these consumption. The educational programs of our countries control nameless federal bureaucrats instead of qualified teachers in our communities.

The elimination of the department would allow federal dollars to move to our communities freely – to force the states to skip the hoops to get it.

President Donald Trump clearly sees this and, in his efforts to overwhelm himself in the wear and exhaustion of the wetland, went to the Ministry of Education as a great example of federal excess and waste. Republicans promise to abolish him from President Ronald Reagan, but Trump finally has a mandate to achieve this.

The parents woke up to inefficiency and lack of responsibility in our schools. The Nation Reporting Card shows that the results of mathematics, science and reading are not better than they were 20 years ago, even while consuming a student has increased to record levels. Something has to change.

The answer is to restore power to states and communities. One of my first works of the governor was the adoption of the learning law, the pure overhaul of the Arkansas educational system, which raised the initial salary of a teacher from $ 36,000 a year to $ 50,000 a year – taking us from 48 in the country by the first five – they deployed 120 literacy coaches in schools across the country and provided each student in the country.

What works in California may not work in Arkansas, and what works for one family may not work for another. Because of this, we put such focus on choice: families, not bureaucrats or postal numbers, they should decide where their children go to school.

We also draw indoctrination from our schools, just as Trump exploits dei and anti -American wocker from our federal agencies. At a time when our children face the educational crisis, we should focus on reading, writing and mathematics – not crazy nonsense.

When I first assumed my duty, I heard the story of a boy named Jack who struggled with learning disabilities and did not neatly fit into the Arkansas model in one size. His parents hoped that their local school district would provide the Jack resources he needed, but the opposite happened.

He was mistreat. The academic is behind. He once escaped from school, twice and then for the third time. One of Jack’s abusers told him to die in a ditch and he was found there: alone, soaking wet, crying in a ditch.

The elimination of the department would allow federal dollars to move to our communities freely – to force the states to skip the hoops to get it.

Due to the report on freedom of education, his parents managed to put him in a specialist school, where he now succeeds. The choice gave Jack not only the opportunity to feel safe, but the path to the great future.

When it works properly, education can even put our fierce children on their way to success. However, all -time -downward systems will never meet the needs of every child.

It is time to abolish the Ministry of Education, return the power to the states and empower every parent and students to acquire the education they need and deserve.
