IPL 2025: The RCB teammate Virat Kohlija brings a great discovery about rejecting the captain
The 31-year-old Indian National Crizket Tim Wickeket-Batsman Jitesh Sharma opened on the modern shot of Virat Kohli, who rejected the Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) captaincy on the eve of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Jitesh Sharma revealed that Virat Kohli did not want to be re -appointed as skipper Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB), therefore, Rajat Patidar was the best option for surrendering the leadership.

Rajat Patidar to run RCB with stars in IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) published his skipper, Faf du Plexis, in front of the Auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and did not cause like Shreyas Iyer, Kl Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan on auction.
Since RCB is not going all for the big Indian names, it was speculated that Virat Kohli could be re -appointed as skipper Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB), after leaving the captain a few years ago.
However, this did not happen because Madhya Pradesh Dough Rajat Patidar, who was one of the players who retained the franchise, became the new team captain for the IPL 2025.
It is significant that Patidar has been doing well for RCB in recent years and has shown his abilities as a leader in a domestic crime.
Virat Kohli Bhai did not want captain on the side – Jitesh Sharma
Jitesh Sharma, who was auctioned by Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) at the IPL 2025 auction for INR 11 crore at IPL 2025 auction, speculated that Kohli had denied the captain because he did not perform a role on a permanent basis in the last few years.
Jitesh Sharma added that he was aware of the fact that Rajat Patidar was in the race for captaincy, but he knew his official appointment only when the franchise announced a public announcement. Speaking to the Cricxtasy Podcast, he said:
“I met that a patril Patidar became a captain when everyone else met. But when you were around the game for a while, you understand the flow of things. Virat Bhai did not want the captain.
“I don’t know why he didn’t want a captain. I’m not in the management side of things; when I am, I’ll let you know. But he wasn’t a captain in the last 2-3 years, so he thought he wouldn’t do it this year. So, I think Rajat was the best option.”
Virat is very affordable – Jitesh Sharma
Jitesh Sharma also opened on the ground nature of the Kohli’s virate, saying that he was very affordable and shared his knowledge with the players.
“Yes, Virat is very affordable. That could be difficult for foreigners, but for us the players are different. We ask him about the game. I remember the match between the PBKS RCB. I scored about 42 and we collapsed. We lost 10-20 running.
“I asked how to become more consistent in the T20. He replied that reading WICKET will help you shoot help you become more consistent. That helped me choose recording. He has a lot of knowledge about the game, but I have to be reasonable enough and intelligent to absorb it.”
