Dominican State Attorney Grills Joshua Riibe personally in the absence of an American case
Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic-Najjachane Prosecutor in the Dominican Republic, interviewed 22-year-old Joshua Riiba in Iowa at his Punta Cani Hotel for hours on Saturday, personally questioning the lone public eyewitnesses in the disappearance of Virginia 20-year-old Sudixha Konanki.

Reynos’s office did not respond to several comment requests. Both Riibe and Reynos’s Entourage were seen coming from a room at the Riu Republica Hotel for hours on Saturday night, and his lawyers later confirmed that AG had questioned him.
Although Riibe was not appointed suspect, nor was any crime allegedly described it as a “key element” in an investigation into a missing person. His parents joined him in the country. Riibe, Konanki and their friends stayed at a spring vacation resort.

Riiba’s parents said on Friday that he had been undergoing “improper treatment” for more than a week.
“Despite its complete willingness to cooperate, Josh has been detained under irregular conditions and subjected to an extensive examination without the presence of official translators or legal advisers until Wednesday, March 12,” said his parents Albert and Tina Riibe, through his lawyers.

“He remained in his hotel room under police supervision and was repeatedly taken to the police station since March 6, where he was long questioned for long hours. Konanki was last seen entering the beach behind the resort with a group that included her friends from University of PittsburghLike two men, one of whom was identified as Riibe, older at St. Cloud state in minnesota.
Dominican law, similar to the one in the US, requires that detained people be released within 48 hours if they are not charged.
A spokesman for State Department said the US authorities were aware of the situation, but could not comment on specifics because of “privacy and other considerations”.

A source close to the investigation said on Friday, Fox News Digital that Riibe remains a “key element” in an investigation that will face a “increased” examination.
