Cyclone Chido was the strongest storm that hit Mayotte in at least 90 years. When the Cyclone in December ran into a French foreign department, it packed winds over 200 km per hour, erupting destruction across the island. In Mayotte, a territory that is already relaxed with sublime poverty levels, in moments he separated Shantytowns, leaving residents to take care of themselves.
