The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ended the mandate of travel mask on April 18, 2022.
According to the CDC website, the masks are still “recommended in closed public transport settings” and “people can decide to mask at any time”.
The website advises people who are medium to high risk of being very ill carrying a mask or “consider avoiding irrelevant closed activities in public where you may be exposed.”

Although CDC claimed that masking could reduce the spread of respiratory diseases, including Coid-19, other studies since pandemic have called into question the effectiveness of wearing a mask.
