Tesla Elon Musk causes concern about retaliation
Elona’s electric manufacturer of Elona Musk, Tesla warned it, and other US exporters can harm countries that take revenge on Donald Trump’s trade tariffs.
Mr. Musk is a close ally of the US president and leading efforts to reduce the size of the Federal Government.
However, in an unsigned letter to an American trade representative, Tesla said that, although “supports” FER trade, this was about US exporters “exposed to disproportionate influences” if other countries turned away to the tariffs.
The letter dated the same day Trump hosted an event in the White House Where he promised to buy Tesla in the support of Mr. Music.
It is unclear who wrote a letter in Tesla as it was inconvenient, or whether Mr. Musk was aware of it.
Tesla’s share price has fallen 40% from the beginning of the year. Mr. Musk is the executive director of the car manufacturer, and although some claimed that his alignment with Trump’s administration hurt his Mark, market analysts say that the decline in stakes is more about worries due to the goals of Tesla production and the fall of sales over the last year.
In a letter, Tesla said he was changing his supply chains to find as many local suppliers as possible for his cars and batteries, so he relied less on foreign markets.
“Nevertheless,” he warned it, “even with the aggressive localization of the supply chain, certain parts and components are difficult or impossible to perform in the US.”
The US president has imposed an additional 20% of tariffs to all imports from China, making Beijing to respond to retribution, including cars. China is Tesla’s second largest market after the US.
“For example, the past trade action of the United States resulted in the immediate reactions of the target countries, including increased tariffs to EV imported into those countries,” the letter said.
The EU and Canada threatened to retaliate for the imports of steel and aluminum imports in the US, which came into force at the beginning of this week.
Demonstrators have been aiming at Tesla’s salon in recent weeks in protest against the role of reducing the cost of Mr. Musk in Trump’s administration, where the head of the Government Efficiency Department (Doge).
Earlier this week, Trump hosted an event in the White House Where he said that people who protest against Tesla should be marked with domestic terrorists, while sitting in the driver’s seat of a brand new red Tesla, which he said was planning to buy.
Trump said the demonstrators “harm the great American company” and anyone who uses violence against the electric car manufacturer “would go through hell”.
