“If this tariff is not removed immediately, now they will soon place a 200% tariff on all wines, champagne and alcoholic products coming from France and other EU countries. This will be great for wine and champagne jobs in the US,” he added.

French trade minister Laurent Saint-Martin responded to Trump’s place on Thursday, saying that the country would protect its industry.
