Republican ends the hearing in the midst of a protest for calling Trans Rep ‘Mr. McBride ‘
Tail. Keith Self, R-Texas, abruptly delayed a hearing in Congress on Tuesday after Ambassador Bill Keating, D-Mass. Sarah McBride, D-Del., As “a representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride.”
McBride, who identifies himself as a transgender woman, replied to himself – which stands House Foreign Affairs The Pododobor of the Committee of Europe – saying, “Thank you Madam Chair.”
While McBride tried to continue talking, the ranking member Keating interrupted, asking himself, “Can you repeat your introduction, please?”

“Ah, yes,” he replied, adding, “we set the standard on” Home floor.
“What is this standard of Mr. Chair?” Keaing asked, before he asked himself again to repeat what he said when I was introduced to McBride.
“I will,” Self replied. “Mr. McBride’s delaware representative,” Self repeated.
“Mr. Chair, you’re not fine,” Keating said. “Mr. Chair, you have no decency?” he asked, continuing “that it was not decent.”
Self said he would continue his hearing.
“You will not continue this with me if you do not present a neatly chosen representative in the right way!” Declared Keating.
In response to the ultimatum, Self announced: “This hearing has been delayed.”

On Tuesday, McBride stated on Tuesday: “No matter how some colleagues treat me, nothing diminishes my awe and gratitude for presenting Delaware in Congress. It is truly honor and privilege of my whole life. I just want to serve and try to make this world a better place.”
