The federal government plays a huge role in stabilizing the economy, not only by direct employment, but by investments in infrastructure, public services and research. All of this happens while Trumps in the course of trade wars with Canada and Mexico damage companies that rely on cross -border trade. Agriculture, manufacturing and transport industries accept higher costs and disorders of the supply chain.
Add thousands of newly employed government workers and have the perfect recipe for economic stagnation. Instead of strengthening the economy, Trump’s policies actively weaken him.

If a decrease in state consumption would help the economy, we would see the results so far. But we didn’t. Inflation still hits American families, wages are not held, and the cost of living is still climbing.
